The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) received Hong Kong ICT Special Award 2015' for the OUHK's Student Administration System.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards, jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and 10 Hong Kong information and communications technology (ICT) industry associations and professional bodies, aimed at recognizing and promoting outstanding ICT solutions and applications so as to encourage innovation and excellence among Hong Kong's ICT talents and enterprises. The result was announced on 10 April. The OUHK received 'Best Business Solution (Application) Special Award for its Student Administration System (SAS), which is a new generation of Student Administration System for the University. This is a comprehensive, automated, and web-based solution to support multiple-modes of study for students, tutors, and staff. The OUHK, as the first self-implementer of this ERP system in Hong Kong, made use of its robust and flexible modules as well as self-developed customization and system service re-packaging to enable and streamline student administration processes such as one-stop online application and self-advising. To increase the capacity and cost-performance of the system, the OUHK has successfully moved its application tier to a Hybrid Cloud.
